STAND UP COMEDY: WRITING NEW MATERIAL

Note: This is a follow on programme for gigging stand-ups, graduates of my stand up course or those who have equivalent experience. For the first step course, "Techniques & Inspiration" see courses.
Spend six evenings working intensively on new material in a writers room setting or drop in for three of the evenings that suit you.
Every week you will be working on your material. Bring along work-in-progress or fragments of ideas and together we'll develop it. There will also be simple games and exercises to inspire ideas.
Each session you will have the opportunity to perform material and receive feedback. And if you are stuck for material there will be many starting points given in the sessions.
Sessions end with watching, analysing and discussing stand-up on a big screen. Suggest youtube clips of stand-up that you'd like to watch and work with. The discussion that follows the viewing will be focussed on drawing out techniques used and inspiring writing in the group.
