News

- I am directing a stand up show about death. At the Assembly Rooms this Edinburgh.

- I led a course for older comedy performers with Silver Comedy and Capital Age Festival that led to a live sketch show being recorded at City Hall on the South Bank. Click here to listen to the podcast that resulted.

- Recent stand up student Paul Moynihan is in the semi-finals of the Laughing Horse competition and won the new act night at the Comedy Café.

- A former comedy writing student was in the team that won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year title.

- Two sketch writing students got material on BBC Radio's Newsjack. Two other sketch writing students got sketches on air on Radio 7's Tilt and another had a sketch on Radio 4's Recorded for Training Purposes.

- I directed Double Art History and Carrie Quinlan's Immaterial at the Edinburgh Fringe last year.
- I am the editor of a huge guide to comedy writing and performing on the new British Comedy Guide website, launching soon.
- I successfully developed ex-Sun editor Kelvin Mckenzie's stand up comedy delivery for a TV show and worked with a new stand up named Simon Jenkins for a Channel 4 show. See Media Coverage.
- Three stand up students from my courses got to the final stages of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Competition and one into the final stage of the Amused Moose competition.
